Meet the Trainer Michelle Garrison!

Michelle Garrison has been training dogs since 1987. Michelle has trained at Dulles Gateway Obedience Club, Capital Dog Training Club, and Featherlee Pets. Ms. Garrison has trained and earned titles on her own dogs. She has earned 2 CDs, 1 CDX, and 1 UD. Also, she has earned 2 High InTrial Awards and 1 High Combined Award. In 1991, Michelle and her first dog earned an invitation to compete in the Gaines Classic, held that year in Sacramento, California.



                                      Puppy Kindergarten
Deepwood’s Puppy Kindergarten class is a great way to bond with your puppy, introduce your puppy into the social scene and  teach him/her to be obedient. In this class, the emotional development of your dog and the human-canine bond will be examined. Housebreaking, crate training, chewing, and grooming are topics that will be covered as well as basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come, off, and heel. This class will help teach your puppy how to comfortably encounter new people and other pets. The confidence and calm your puppy will develop will enable you, as the owner, as well as veterinarians and groomers to comfortably handle him/her.

          Deepwood’s Puppy Kindergarten classes are six weeks  every Saturday from 11:15 am until 12:15 am. The cost of the six week session is $160.00 and preregistration is required.

         
Basic Obedience

     Deepwood’s Basic Obedience class teaches your dog basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come, off and heel. Your dog will develop confidence,  be able to walk comfortably through crowds and learn how to encounter other people and dogs. You, as the owner, will feel confidence in yourself  handling your dog with ease as will any veterinarian or groomer. The bond that develops between you and your dog will last a lifetime.

Deepwood’s Basic Obedience classes are eight weeks  every Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 pm. The cost of this eight week session is $180.00 and preregistration is required.
